Assessment Process & Reports
At Dr. Hayes Educates Learning Center, our assessment process is designed to provide meaningful educational insight in a supportive, individualized, and professional environment.
Each evaluation is tailored to the learner’s age, educational background, referral concerns, academic history, and specific support needs.
Our goal is to provide families with clear, research-based information that helps guide educational planning, intervention, accommodations, and long-term academic growth.
The Evaluation Process
Step 1 — Consultation & Intake
The process begins with an initial consultation to discuss concerns, educational history, goals, and recommended evaluation options.
Families may be asked to provide previous testing, report cards, intervention history, homeschool documentation, or academic records when applicable.
Step 2 — Records & Background Review
Educational records, developmental history, academic concerns, behavioral information, and instructional background are reviewed to help guide assessment planning.
This step allows for a more individualized and comprehensive evaluation process.
Step 3 — Assessment Sessions
Assessment sessions are conducted in a supportive, distraction-reduced environment designed to help learners feel comfortable and successful throughout the process.
Testing may occur across one or multiple sessions depending on the scope and complexity of the evaluation.
Step 4 — Scoring & Educational Analysis
Assessment data is carefully scored and analyzed to identify learning patterns, academic strengths, skill gaps, executive functioning concerns, processing differences, behavioral trends, and instructional implications.
Information from observations, interviews, records, and rating scales may also be integrated into the evaluation process.
