Welcome to the K–5 Hybrid Learning Community
A Personalized Elementary Experience Designed Around Your Child
The K–5 Hybrid Learning Community at Dr. Hayes Educates Academy of Innovation is designed for families seeking a more personalized, engaging, and flexible approach to elementary education. Our unique hybrid model combines the benefits of teacher-led instruction with purposeful guided home learning, creating an educational experience that supports both academic growth and family life.
Students attend campus two full days each week for engaging, hands-on instruction led by experienced educators. During the remainder of the week, they continue learning through teacher-designed Guided Home Learning activities that reinforce classroom instruction without requiring parents to become the teacher. Families also have the opportunity to participate in optional Friday Family Connection activities that encourage learning through meaningful shared experiences.
Our mixed-age learning community allows students to learn in an environment where instruction is personalized according to readiness rather than grade level. Through small-group instruction, authentic learning experiences, Literacy Workshop, Math Workshop, Innovation Lab, executive functioning support, and faith-infused character development, students build confidence, curiosity, independence, and a lifelong love of learning.
At DHEAI, we believe elementary education should nurture the whole child while honoring each student's unique strengths, interests, and learning journey. Every day is intentionally designed to help students feel known, supported, challenged, and inspired to thrive.

The DHEAI 2-2-1 Learning Model
A Balanced Approach to Learning
The DHEAI K–5 Hybrid Learning Community is built around our signature 2-2-1 Learning Model, providing students with the best of both worlds: engaging teacher-led instruction, purposeful Guided Home Learning, and meaningful family connection.
Students attend campus two full days each week where new concepts are introduced through personalized instruction, collaborative learning, and authentic educational experiences. Throughout the week, Guided Home Learning reinforces classroom instruction with teacher-designed activities that promote independence and confidence without requiring parents to become the teacher.
Families also have the opportunity to participate in Friday Family Connection, an optional day dedicated to learning through shared experiences, exploration, service, and real-world application. These experiences strengthen family relationships while encouraging children to see learning as something that extends far beyond the classroom.
Our 2-2-1 Learning Model creates a balanced educational experience that supports academic excellence, family flexibility, and meaningful lifelong learning.

Building Strong Foundations for Lifelong Learning
At Dr. Hayes Educates Academy of Innovation, our K–5 curriculum is intentionally designed to develop confident readers, skilled mathematicians, curious investigators, creative thinkers, and compassionate leaders. Rather than relying on a single boxed curriculum, we thoughtfully integrate research-based instructional programs, high-quality educational resources, and authentic learning experiences to meet the diverse needs of every learner.
Our curriculum emphasizes deep understanding over memorization, encouraging students to ask questions, solve problems, make meaningful connections, and apply their learning in real-world situations. Through personalized instruction, flexible grouping, hands-on learning, and ongoing assessment, students are challenged at their individual level while developing the academic skills and confidence needed for future success.
Grounded in the Hayes Method™ and supported by our signature 2-2-1 Learning Model, every learning experience is designed to nurture the whole child. Students engage in rigorous academics while also strengthening executive functioning, communication, collaboration, creativity, character, and independence. Learning extends beyond the classroom through Guided Home Learning and authentic experiences that connect school, family, and everyday life.
Our interdisciplinary thematic units integrate literacy, mathematics, science, social studies, the arts, and Innovation Lab experiences, helping students see how knowledge connects across subjects and preparing them to become thoughtful learners and engaged citizens.
