Adult Literacy & Learning Center

At Dr. Hayes Educates, we believe literacy and learning are lifelong journeys. Our Family & Adult Learning Programs provide adults of all ages with the reading, writing, digital literacy, and executive functioning support needed to thrive academically, professionally, and personally.

We offer a full continuum of adult-focused services designed for learners who may have struggled in traditional school settings, are returning to education later in life, are improving workplace skills, or are learning English for the first time.

Adult Basic Education (ABE) & Academic Skill Building

Our ABE services help adults strengthen:

  • Math reasoning

  • Problem-solving

  • Study skills

  • Test-taking strategies

  • Written expression

  • Reading for work, school, or daily life

Learners progress at their own pace with individualized coaching and structured support.

English Language Learning (ELL/ESL)

We provide English language instruction for multilingual adults who want to build:

  • Conversational English

  • Reading and vocabulary

  • Workplace English

  • Listening and comprehension

  • Everyday practical communication

We support adults preparing for:

  • GED

  • HiSET

  • Other High School Equivalency exams

Instruction focuses on math, reading, writing, test-taking strategies, and building the confidence needed to complete exam requirements. (Partnership options available.)

We help adults strengthen modern digital skills:

  • Email, forms, and online communication

  • Word processing and writing tools

  • Basic research and information literacy

  • Using online learning platforms

  • Navigating educational software
