At Dr. Hayes Educates, our enrichment programs are designed to spark creativity, build confidence, and deepen critical thinking through hands-on, project-based learning. Each class integrates elements of literacy, STEM, design, and real-world application to meet the needs of diverse learners.
Grades K–5 Enrichment Classes
1. Storybook STEM
Students bring stories to life through building challenges, science experiments, and creative projects tied to picture books.
2. MakerLab Jr.
Tinker, build, and explore with age-appropriate materials in this hands-on class focused on invention, creation, and play-based engineering.
3. Kinder Chefs
Young learners gain early kitchen skills while integrating math, literacy, and sensory learning through themed cooking experiences.
4. Music & Movement
A high-energy class using rhythm, instruments, and body movement to build coordination and confidence.
5. Little Stitchers (Beginner Sewing)
Introductory hand-sewing and machine-free projects that help students build fine motor skills, patience, and pride in their creations.
6. Arts & Imagination
Painting, drawing, sculpting, and sensory-rich activities that foster creativity and self-expression.

1. WonderLab: STEM & Design Studio
Hands-on science and engineering challenges—from bridge building to simple circuits—focused on innovation, collaboration, and problem-solving.
2. Jr. Culinary Creators
Budding chefs explore global recipes while practicing reading, measurement, and teamwork in the kitchen.
3. Drama & Performance Lab
Students learn stage presence, confidence, and collaboration through skits, reader’s theater, and movement-based storytelling.
4. DIY Designers: Intro to Sewing & Fabric Art
Students learn how to use a sewing machine safely while completing beginner projects like bags, patches, and accessories.
5. Eco Explorers
Environmental science meets real-world stewardship as students explore recycling, gardening, and sustainability through hands-on projects.
6. Code & Create (Non-Robotic Tech)
Beginner tech exploration through storytelling, digital design, and logic-based coding games—no robots or screens required.
7. Junior Mock Trial & Leadership Lab
Students become attorneys, jurors, and witnesses while learning about fairness, rules, persuasive speaking, and civic engagement. Includes guided mock trials and team debates.
8. Real-World Math Lab
Money, time, measurement, and problem-solving are brought to life through real scenarios like running a business, budgeting for a party, or planning a trip.

1. The Innovation Lab
Students tackle real-world problems using STEM, design thinking, and project-based learning. Each unit focuses on building solutions with purpose.
2. Mock Trial & Civic Leadership Lab
Middle schoolers dive into structured argument, case-building, and courtroom dynamics. Students write opening statements, cross-examine witnesses, and understand the justice system through engaging mock trials.
3. Debate & Public Speaking Workshop
This course builds persuasive communication, rebuttal techniques, and public confidence. Students debate real topics and learn to respectfully disagree.
4. Creative Writing & Zine Lab
Students develop voice and expression while creating original poetry, short fiction, and zines. Includes performance opportunities and literary publishing projects.
5. Sewing Studio: Fashion & Function
A beginner-friendly course in machine sewing and design thinking. Students create wearable items and expressive fabric art while learning precision and independence.
6. Entrepreneurship for Teens
Middle schoolers explore product development, pricing, branding, and marketing by designing their own business and prototyping a product.
7. STEM in Action: Engineering, Biology & Tech
Rotating science modules focused on biology labs, eco-science, and engineering structures. Hands-on experiments and investigations drive inquiry-based learning.
