Hayes Academy of Innovation is a Category IV Private School serving Tennessee homeschool families.

We provide legal homeschool umbrella coverage, academic oversight, and professional educational guidance while allowing families to maintain flexibility and autonomy in their homeschool journey.

• Enrichment Blocks (Sewing, Culinary, STEM)

• Pre-K Learning Lab

• Individual Tutoring (semester-based)

HOMESCHOOL UMBRELLA

PROGRAM (Category IV)

Annual Enrollment: $299 per student

This option provides legal homeschool coverage through Hayes Academy of Innovation for Tennessee families.

What’s Included:

• Category IV private school enrollment

• Attendance oversight and recordkeeping

• Enrollment verification for state compliance

• End-of-year academic documentation

• Professional guidance from a licensed educator

Families may enroll in the umbrella program alone or alongside tutoring and enrichment services.

The Pre-K Learning Lab is designed for young homeschool learners who benefit from structured early learning without the pressure of full-day programming.

Focus Areas:
• Early literacy and language development
• Foundational math through play
• Fine motor skills and hands-on exploration
• Routines, social confidence, and school readiness​

  • Class sizes are intentionally small to support a calm, nurturing learning environment.

*Instruction is led by Dr. Alisha Hayes, an experienced early childhood educator with a degree in Early Childhood Education, ensuring developmentally appropriate, research-based learning experiences.

K-8 ENRICHMENT CLASSES

Enrichment Blocks (Rotating)

Thursdays | 1:30–2:30 PM

Hands-on enrichment experiences are offered in rotating sessions throughout the spring.

Spring 2026 Rotations:

  • January 22 – February 26: Kids Can Sew — Machine Sewing

  • March 3 – April 16: Culinary Arts — Baking Science 

  • April 23 – May 21: STEM Lab

  • Enrichment blocks allow students to explore creativity, problem-solving, and applied learning without full-day enrollment.

Individual Tutoring Semester Commitment

Thursdays Morning Weekly Sessions

Three Limitied Spots

• 9:15–10:00

• 10:00–10:45

• 10:45–11:30

Individual tutoring is offered in reading, math, or targeted academic skill areas. Sessions are diagnostic-informed and tailored to each student’s needs.

  • Tutoring during daytime hours requires a semester-long commitment.

  • Students meet for one session a week.

  • Afternoon tutoring (after 3:00 PM) is reserved for full-time school students and is currently full.

Support Single Sessions

These flexible sessions are ideal for families seeking guidance without ongoing weekly commitments.

$75 -Per 45 Minute Session

*Our accessible non-profit  rate is reflected.

Available Thursdays: • 11:45–12:45 • 12:45–1:30

Two session options include:

• Family Academic Planning Sessions

• Individual Tutoring Sessions

• Academic Snapshot Assessments (K–8)

  • Important: Pay-as-you-go sessions must be booked at least 12 hours in advance.

  • First come, first serve.

  • Must book a session for every appointment

  • Does not automatically enroll your child for a future sessions.

• Semester-based tutoring requires a commitment for the full term.

• Pay-as-you-go sessions are single appointments and subject to availability.

• Families are expected to arrive on time and prepared for scheduled sessions.

• Missed sessions and late cancellations may not be eligible for rescheduling.
