Program — Grades 6–8

 Dates: December 8–11, 2025 (Monday–Thursday)
Time: 9:00–11:00 AM

Program Description

Join us for a special Middle School Fall Preview Week at Hayes Academy of Innovation (HAI) — a unique opportunity for rising and current 6th–8th graders to experience our innovative hybrid microschool model before our Spring 2026 semester launch.

This free, small-group enrichment experience blends literacy, math, STEM, and project-based learning in a collaborative, inclusive environment designed for independent learners. Families get to preview what makes HAI different: structure, flexibility, and meaningful learning.

Each 2-hour session integrates:

  • ELA & Literacy: theme-based reading, writing, and discussions

  • Math & Problem Solving: strategy, games, real-world connections

  • STEM & Project-Based Learning: science investigations, engineering challenges, art integration

  • Executive Function & SEL: collaboration, reflection, goal-setting

  • Faith-Infused Character Education: responsibility, leadership, and service (non-denominational)

6th- 8th Grade Middle School FALL PREVIEW PROGRAM 

WEEKLY PREVIEW  PROGRAM INFORMATION 

Students will engage in collaborative projects designed to build leadership, innovation, and creative problem-solving skills.

  • Opportunities to present, build, and connect with peers.

  • Hands-on, inquiry-based learning aligned to middle school skills and interests.

Schedule

Monday–Thursday | December 8–11 | 9:00–11:00 AM
Families may register for the full 4-day preview.
All sessions are free, but space is limited to 12 students total.

 Enrollment Requirements

  • Open to students currently in grades 6–8.

  • Students must be able to:

    • Work independently and in small groups

    • Follow group directions and communicate basic needs

    • Demonstrate safe and respectful behavior

  • Diverse learners are welcome. While we do not provide 1:1 aides, we collaborate with families to ensure appropriate support and fit.

TUITION & ENROLLMENT 

The Fall Preview Program is offered at no cost to families as an opportunity to experience DHEAI’s hybrid microschool model before the official launch in January 6, 2026. Enrollment is intentionally limited to maintain a small, skill-based learning environment and ensure a high-quality experience for every student.

Tuition

  • Fall Preview Tuition: Free for all five weeks

  • Enrollment Fee: None for the Fall Preview Program

Enrollment Process

  1. Click the registration link.

  2. Complete the online enrollment form.

  3. Select your preferred preview week(s). Families may choose one or multiple weeks, depending on availability.

  4. Receive confirmation of your child’s spot via email.

Important Notes

  • Enrollment is limited to 15 students total.

  • Families who participate in the Fall Preview will receive priority enrollment for Spring 2026 half -day programming.

  • Enrollment is offered on a first-come, first-served basis.

Refund & Attendance Policy

No payment is required for the Fall Preview Program. If your family’s plans change, please notify us as soon as possible so the spot can be offered to another student.

ADD-ON UMBRELLA ENROLLMENT (OPTIONAL)

Families may choose to register under DHEAI’s Category IV Homeschool Umbrella for legal homeschool coverage.

Preview Rate (2025–26)

  • First Student: $250/year

  • Each Additional Sibling: $125/year

Base Umbrella Includes:

  • Legal homeschool registration

  • Attendance and record-keeping for state compliance

  • End-of-year transcripts (upon request)

Optional Add-Ons (additional fee):

  • Quarterly curriculum check-ins

  • Annual planning consultations

  • Benchmark assessments

  • Online access portal for pacing and record-keeping

Note: Umbrella enrollment is not required for students participating in the Fall Preview Program. Families may add this option if they need legal homeschool coverage.
