A Week at DHEAI
Two Days Together. Learning That Lasts All Week.
Our tutorial meets two days each week, giving students meaningful opportunities to learn, collaborate, and explore in a hands-on learning community. The remaining days are spent learning at home, where families continue building on the concepts introduced during tutorial days using the curriculum and educational approach that best fits their homeschool.

Inside Our Six-Week Learning Journeys
Every six weeks, students embark on a new immersive learning journey built around a meaningful theme. Rather than studying subjects in isolation, students explore one big idea through literature, mathematics, science, social studies, the arts, executive functioning, and hands-on experiences that make learning meaningful and memorable.
Each unit is intentionally designed to spark curiosity, encourage critical thinking, and help students make authentic connections between what they learn and the world around them.

Each week, families receive a Home Learning Guide outlining the concepts, vocabulary, essential questions, and learning goals explored during our Monday and Wednesday tutorial days. Rather than assigning a specific curriculum, the guide is designed to complement your homeschool by providing a roadmap for extending learning throughout the week.
This approach allows families the freedom to choose the curriculum, resources, books, and activities that best align with their child's learning needs, educational philosophy, and family schedule.

What grades do you serve?
Our Homeschool Tutorial currently serves students in Kindergarten through 5th grade.
What days does the tutorial meet?
Students attend on-campus learning every Monday and Wednesday. Families continue learning at home on Tuesdays and Thursdays using their own homeschool curriculum and the weekly Home Learning Guide.
What curriculum do you use?
DHEAI provides immersive learning experiences, explicit reading and mathematics instruction, and weekly Home Learning Guides. Families choose the homeschool curriculum and educational resources they use at home.
Do I have to change my homeschool curriculum?
No. Families are encouraged to continue using the curriculum that best meets their child's needs. Our tutorial is designed to complement your homeschool, not replace it.
Is this a drop-off program?
Yes. Students participate in a structured school day led by DHEAI educators while parents enjoy dedicated time for work, errands, appointments, or other responsibilities.
What should my child bring?
Students should bring a lunch, water bottle, and any personal items requested by the Academy. Most instructional materials are provided by DHEAI.
Can my child receive additional services through Dr. Hayes Educates?
Yes. Families may choose to add educational testing, tutoring, literacy intervention, executive function coaching, academic assessments, or other educational services through our Learning Center.
