The Adult Literacy Program through Dr. Hayes Educates Inc. was created to support adult learners seeking stronger reading, writing, communication, digital literacy, and educational skills in a supportive and empowering environment.

We recognize that many adults face educational barriers for a variety of reasons, including learning differences, interrupted education, language barriers, or limited access to personalized academic support. Our goal is to provide respectful, relationship-driven educational opportunities that build confidence, strengthen literacy, and support lifelong learning.

Programs may include Adult Basic Education (ABE), GED/HSE preparation, English Language Learning (ESL), digital literacy, workplace readiness skills, and individualized literacy support.

Developed and researched by Dr. Alisha Hayes, Ed.D., Read ForReal™ is a literacy support program created to empower adults who struggle with reading, literacy confidence, comprehension, writing, communication, and foundational academic skills.

Built upon research-based literacy practices and relationship-driven instruction, the program was designed to support adult learners in a respectful, encouraging, and empowering environment that recognizes the diverse experiences and educational journeys of adult learners.

Read ForReal™ acknowledges that many adults face literacy challenges related to dyslexia, interrupted education, learning differences, language barriers, limited educational opportunities, or negative academic experiences. Through personalized support and evidence-based intervention strategies, the program focuses on strengthening literacy skills while rebuilding confidence and supporting lifelong learning.

G.E.D. & HSE PREPARATION

Dr. Hayes Educates Inc. provides adult learners with supportive GED and High School Equivalency (HSE) preparation designed to strengthen academic confidence, literacy skills, math understanding, test-taking strategies, and real-world readiness.

ABE support may help adults who:

• Want to build confidence in everyday literacy tasks
• Are preparing for workforce or educational goals

Instruction focuses on practical, real-world learning experiences while providing respectful, supportive, and individualized educational support for adult learners.

English as a Second Language (ELL/ESL)

Dr. Hayes Educates Inc. offers supportive English language learning opportunities for adults seeking to strengthen speaking, listening, reading, writing, and communication skills in English.

Dr. Alisha Hayes is a trained ELL Specialist and ESL-certified educator who spent years working within public school systems supporting multilingual and English language learners from diverse linguistic and educational backgrounds. Her experience includes helping students strengthen academic language, literacy development, communication skills, confidence, and classroom success through relationship-driven and research-based instructional practices.
